ISTANBUL (Reuters) - A restaurant owner in southwest Turkey was shot dead after he tried to prevent his customers from smoking to comply with a new law on the use of tobacco indoors, Hurriyet daily said on Thursday.

A fight broke out after Hidir Karayigit, 46, ordered a group of customers to extinguish their cigarettes when they began smoking at his "meyhane," a traditional restaurant that serves alcohol, in the town of Saruhanli, Hurriyet said.

One of the customers shot Karayigit four times after he took away the group's cigarettes, said witness Hamza Havutcu, Karayigit's business partner who was also shot and wounded.

Sorry sir, but he's had a bit too much to drink

During my mis-spent youth, I had to attend a Cpls to Sgts mess function. Now, from experience, I never drank alcohol at mess functions, mainly because I was always asked to drive friends home, but also because I would never allow alcohol to cloud my judgment.

Anyway, at one such function, a young Cpl decided to gob off at me in the mistaken viewpoint that he could take me out with physical violence. Seeing as he was to the right of me at a 90 degree angle, I struck him between the legs with a downward Uraken, and as he collapsed, I grabbed his hair with my right hand, his pint glass with my left, and was in the process of driving his head onto my knee in which to smash his face in.

When the Garrison Sgt Maj (GSM) decided to come across and ask how I was doing, I instantly weaved a story about how buggerlugs couldn’t hold his beer and I was helping him recover to a chair. The GSM thanked me for helping out with a visitor to the mess and left to speak with somebody else. His intervention rescued buggerlugs from a broken face and me from getting charged with assault.

Please don’t think I’m a violent man. I’m not. But sometimes, after being provoked, you have to make a stand in which to say enough is enough, otherwise you give permission to those who presume to think that might is right.

Which brings me to the point of my missive. You see, Israel today published a report into its foray into Gaza at the start of the year. Its conclusion was: after years of provocation it’s assault into Gaza was "Necessary and proportionate".

Oh how the Left are bitching about how Israel took the fight to Hamas. But the thing is, sometimes, just sometimes, you have to make the point of showing your neighbourhood bully that you aren’t as weak and feeble as he thinks you are.

Pakistan: Drones to target Taliban on both sides of border

According to the report, "dozens of drones" will be hunting Taliban in AfPak.

Washington, 31 July (AKI/DAWN) - In a major strategy shift, the United States military has moved away the focus of its drone strikes from Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan to the Taliban on both sides of the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, US media reported late on Thursday.

To turn up the heat on the Taliban, the US Central Command, which oversees US military operations in the region, is sending a dozen more drones to Afghanistan, according to the Los Angeles Times.

These include some currently used in Iraq and represent a 25 per cent increase in the Predator drone fleet in Afghanistan.

A preliminary review by the US military has concluded that the command in Afghanistan requires up to four times as many Predators as it currently has to beat the militants.

The aircraft redeployment means Afghan insurgents that have launched deadly attacks against the US will for the first time be hunted down by "dozens of drones capable of remaining over a target for hours undetected, identifying key individuals, and firing missiles within a matter of seconds," the Times reported.

I don't come from a land down under

(Australia) Has anybody else noticed how the devotees of a certain religious faith go out of their way in which to gain cop outs from our laws by claiming that as Muslims they cannot subscribe to any law but the ones dictated to Mohammed by Allah? Which is funny, as they appear to have no problem using our law system when anything upsets them.

Which is what happened down under when Keysar Trad, the Right-hand man of Islamic Cleric Taj Din al-Hilali, found Jason Morrison had described him as "gutless" and "just trouble" for his conduct at a rally after the Cronulla riots in December 2005. I mean, how dare he tell the truth?

So with his honour and respect at stake, Mr Trad took Mr Morrison to court on a charge of defamation. Unfortunately for Keysar, Justice McClellan, who was hearing the case, found in favour of Mr Morrison, and in his judgment said:

"There is little doubt that many of the plaintiff's remarks are offensive to Jewish persons and homosexual. Many of his remarks are distasteful and appear to condone violence. I'm satisfied that the plaintiff does hold views which can properly be described as racist. I'm also satisfied that he encourages others to hold those views. In particular he holds views derogatory of Jewish people. The views which he holds would not be acceptable to most right-thinking Australians."

It appears that Mr Trad didn’t look to see which way the wind was blowing when he thought he could still play the “I am a victim card” in Australia. Instead of making a packet, Mr Trad has been hit with a bill for $400,000 in court costs.

Of course Mr Trad will be appealing, but unlike him, The Men At Work on his case Come from a land down under.

Some people presume that dropping babies off the mosque roof brings good luck

(India) The shit has really hit the fan in India when a TV station exposed a ritual where families toss their infant children 50 feet off the roof of a local mosque in the belief that catching them below will bring prosperity and good luck to the family. No doubt not catching the child brings bad luck. To be fair to the Indian authorities they did clamp down on this 700 year old ritual last year, with the owners of the mosque agreeing not to allow anymore infants take their very first flying lesson from off the top of their roof. Family marries 15-year-old girl to a man in his 40s

(UK) In yet another example of the ugliness which disguises itself as the Religion of Peace, a family from Bangladesh living in London married off their 15-year-old daughter to an asylum seeker in his 40s because that is what their founder did when he fancied something a little tighter in his bed.

The thing, it seems, that he found the 15-year-old child wasn't tight enough after he raped her, so he started on her 12-year-old sister, but even that wasn't good enough, so he then targeted a 6-year-old boy.

The thing is, nobody in the family objected to this pervert's peccadillos, and it took the so called wife to report her husband to the police, as she feared her family had lined her up for another marriage.

Of course, this being the UK, the dirty bastard got away. The police did manage to arrest a 53-year-old female member of the family (mother???) on suspicion of aiding and abetting rape and actual bodily harm, but she's now on bail until September.

I, for one, wouldn't be surprised in the least if the girl goes on a holiday to Bangladesh and never comes back. But hey, she does belong to the Religion of Peace.

Palestinian tunnel accident: Smugglers killed in Gaza tunnel blast

(ABC) Several people have died in a smuggling tunnel beneath the border between Gaza and Egypt and it is feared there could be more dead.

Palestinian authorities say an electrical spark caused a load of fuel in the tunnel to explode, killing several people.

Some reports say two people died, another says seven.

Accidents in the tunnels that snake underground between Gaza and Egypt are notoriously common.

More than 100 people have died in them this year.

Iraq: 28 killed in bombings near Baghdad mosques

Man sent to jail in America for raping horse for a second time

Unfortunately for Sugar, a horse in South Carolina, that event became only too real when Rodell Vereen was caught, not for the first time, slipping sugar some of his own sugar. (He was convicted last year for the very same crime and placed on the sex offenders list.)

On being caught in the act by the owner, Rodell stated he was looking for a toilet.

Nigerian Mullah behind recent riots found dead in police cell

(Nigeria) Mohammed Yusuf, the religious bigot in Nigeria who was behind the riots which engulfed a number of Nigerian cities this past week, where his followers used the bullet and the bomb in which to try and install sharia law on anybody and everybody, has been found dead in his prison cell.

Yup, the man behind hundreds of deaths this past week is brown bread. (Of course, the bBC is crying crocodile tears of the manner of his death, but what's new there?)

The only thing I find strange is the manner of his arrest. You see, Mr Yusuf was arrested by the police in the goat pen of his in-laws house on Thursday. Police reports don't mention where his trousers where at the time, or substantiate that his father-in-law is, in fact, a shepherd. If the above allegations do prove to be true, Mr Yusuf may find himself in hell when he finds that his companions are, in fact, smooth skinned human virgins and not hairy arsed goats.

Mr Yusuf is survived by his two sons Billy and Gruff.

Compensation awards under Socialist Britain

(UK) The Left love to sue. In fact, under this Labour government, more people have sued the UK and won huge payout than at any other time in history. Which may explain why so many terrorist wannabes and criminals have no problem suing for the slightest reason going.

For example, we have the case of a failed asylum seeker who, on arriving in the UK from Somalia (well, there’s a surprise), decided to rape a child. After serving 6 years, he couldn’t be deported back to Somalia because of his human rights, but he couldn't be let free because of the risk of him raping another child, so the British civil service dithered and kept him in jail. Problem was, that breached his human rights, and he was awarded £50,000 in damages.

How about the case of failed asylum seekers from the Congo who were locked prior to trying to deport them. Because their two children were locked up with them (for two months), that too was seen as breaching their human rights, and in Feb of this year they received £150,000 in compensation.

But that’s just it. Under Labour, they just pay out whenever they can in which to stop any dark-skinned idiot taking his case to the media in which they get the chance to play the victim by playing the racist card.

And then we have the case of young Carl Clowes from Bradford who lost his leg while serving in the army. It seems the army wants to claw back £48,000 it paid out to him for losing that leg, saying that the £100,000 he had already received was enough.

A young man who lost his leg while serving Queen and country on a mission started by a left-wing government concerned about human rights in Afghanistan is told that he has to pay back some of the money paid.

Yup, sounds about right. I bet they wouldn't be doing the same if he had been in Afghanistan trying to kill British soldiers. Nah, then he'd be given a council house, all the money he needed and a British passport. I mean, they are doing exactly that to a certain Binyam Mohammed.

Yet the very same government which is begrudging £48,000 for a lost leg had no problem in which to spend £250,000 in which to hire a private jet to return to the UK a failed asylum seeker who went off to Afghanistan in which to play Jihad boy.

The same government, I should add, which has refused to ask any MP to pay back monies they stole from the tax-payers (each and everyone, I should add) in which to furnish their nests, wants a young man who lost his leg to pay a third back.

And people wonder why the odious BNP won a seat in the local elections in that region of Yorkshire.

But you know what, I remember what eating out was like before Micky D's hit the British high streets - crap food, crap service but 1st class prices. Be it building cars, shopping for food or even purchasing furniture, people today no longer have to wait for things they require and can simply turn up on the day and buy what they want in minutes.

Which takes me across the water to the States. It transpires village idiots who cannot be asked to wait for a baby, have taken to murdering an expectant mother and ripping the unborn baby out in which to claim it as their own. For f-ck's sake, what is wrong with these people? Has eating out at fast food joints given them mad cow disease?

Oh how the media loved him and how he had no problem informing the world how he had sent hundreds to their deaths in which to fight the infidel. How he himself had no problem dying for the cause and how in the end Jihad will prevail. Then he hit a problem.

Sick of all the bad press he was giving them. Pakistan told him to sling his hook back to Britain, and tail between legs he returned, and when he was picked up by the Old Bill at the airport, he cried that he was a liar and that he made everything up, and could he please be allowed to live in the infidel's country. And the infidel, fearful of offending his human rights, did.

Well, where one Butt became constipated, the other (Omer) decided to cover the great unwashed with his own brand of religious diarrhea. During one such incident where Omer was arrested for acting like a little shit, Hassan arrived and bemoaned the fact that big brother had nicked his big brother. He did so by referring to the Police as the Gestapo and demanded to know why he was being treated as a Paki. (Err, bugger lugs, have you looked in the mirror lately?) He finished off his one man stand by claiming the police of being ‘rednecks' and belonging to the BNP.

It appears that the days of Muslims playing the victim card may be slowly falling by the wayside, as today Mr Butt was fined £200 and ordered to pay £100 costs and a victim surcharge of £15 for playing the race card in which to try and excuse his own racist behaviour.

I’m sure the Pakistani police wouldn’t have been as lenient towards this upstanding pillar of the Islamic community. But then how do you expect to be treated when your surname is Butt and found guilty of talking out of your arse.

(JPost) A Gaza man is being held on suspicion he bludgeoned his daughter with an iron chain, cracking her skull in a particularly brutal family "honor killing," two human rights groups said Wednesday, citing police and forensics reports.

The groups' reports said that the assault was triggered by Jawdat Najjar's discovery that his daughter Fadia - a 27-year-old divorced mother of five - owned a cell phone. He suspected she used it to speak to a man outside the family, according to the groups' reports.

Dr. Mohammed Sultan, who examined the victim, told The Associated Press that her head and face were bloodied, her body covered by bruises and that she suffered internal bleeding.

Fadia Najjar was the 10th victim of a so-called "honor killing" this year in the Palestinian territories and among Arab communities in Israel, according to rights groups.

Mezan and the PCHR said that Najjar's father used an iron chain to beat her, while also kicking and punching her for about 40 minutes until she died of a fatal blow to the head, said Mezan and the PCHR.

"It's shocking," said Samir Zakout of Mezan. "But it's not surprising because killers know they won't be punished harshly."

Nigeria fighting rages as death toll passes 300

The home of the sect's leader Mohammed Yusuf was shelled by forces on Tuesday evening, along with a mosque where many of his followers had gathered, but Yusuf appeared to have escaped.

"The house and the mosque have been pulverised and reduced to rubble," the officer said.

It had to take a tip-off from a foreign country (if I had my way, this nonce would get more than a tip off) in which to get Sohail nicked. And today, British justice put him behind bars.

So how many years did kiddy fiddler Ayaz get? 20, 15, 10? Nah, he got 4 years, which in the UK means he will do 2. As he has done just over 5 months prior to his case, this scum bag only has another 18 months to do. Yup, isn’t British justice great? No wonder so many foreign criminals come to the UK.

I wonder if he will claim for asylum on his release by saying that his human rights will be at risk if he is deported to Pakistan. Something tells me he will, and some human rights lawyer will fight tooth and nail in which to keep him here.

(UK) In the UK, Police chiefs have backed down and lifted the ban on the wearing of the Union Flag because a member of the public complained that it was offensive.

Morocco: Islamist sentenced to life in jail

Rabat, 28 July (AKI) - A Moroccan court on Wednesday sentenced to life imprisonment the leader of an Islamic extremist cell. Abdelkader Belliraj was convicted of forming a criminal gang with the aim of carrying out terrorist attacks and murders.

Australian convert to Islam admits plotting to kill thousands

Is there any other religion in the world in which a new convert's first thought is "I'm gonna go kill me up a few thousand infidels"?

MELBOURNE (AFP) — An Australian convert to Islam on Tuesday admitted being part of a terror cell that plotted to kill thousands of people by bombing major sports events, just moments before his retrial.

Farrakhan blames ‘Zionists’ for Jackson's death; says Obama's ‘black started coming out’

But Farrakhan was done yet.

"In speaking of Jackson finding his roots in the black community, Farrakhan said President Obama did the same when he said police "acted stupidly" in arresting Harvard University Professor Henry Louis Gates Jr. Obama later said that he had used a poor choice of words.

"His [Obama's] black started coming out," Farrakhan said. "He had to pull that fella back in. Underneath, it shows you all his brilliance, his magnificence ... he's one of the brothers."

I'm sure Obama is thrilled with this.

Why Won’t Obama Talk to Israel?

Here's why Obama's ME policy is failing and will continue to fail.

(NYT) IN his global tours and TV appearances, President Obama has spoken to Arabs, Muslims, Iranians, Western Europeans, Eastern Europeans, Russians and Africans. His words have stirred emotions and been well received everywhere.

But he hasn’t bothered to speak directly to Israelis.

And the effect? Six months into his presidency, Israelis find themselves increasingly suspicious of Mr. Obama. All they see is American pressure on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to freeze settlements, a request that’s been interpreted here as political arm-twisting meant to please the Arab street at Israel’s expense — or simply to express the president’s dislike for Mr. Netanyahu.

This would seem counterproductive, given the importance the president has placed on resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. If Israel is part of the problem, it’s also part of the solution. Yet so far, neither the president nor any senior administration official has given a speech or an interview aimed at an Israeli audience, beyond brief statements made at diplomatic photo ops.

The Arabs got the Cairo speech; we got silence.

This policy of ignoring Israel carries a price. Though Mr. Obama has succeeded in prodding Mr. Netanyahu to accept the idea of a Palestinian state alongside Israel, he has failed to induce Israel to impose a freeze on settlements. In fact, he has failed even to stir debate about the merits of one: no Israeli political figure has stood up to Mr. Netanyahu and begged him to support Mr. Obama; not even the Israeli left, desperate for a new agenda, has adopted Mr. Obama as its icon.

As a result, Mr. Netanyahu enjoys a virtual domestic consensus over his rejection of the settlement freeze. Moreover, he has succeeded in portraying Mr. Obama as a shaky ally. In Mr. Netanyahu’s narrative, the president has fallen under the influence of top aides — in this case Rahm Emanuel and David Axelrod — whom the prime minister has called “self-hating Jews.” Meanwhile, Mr. Netanyahu is the defender of national glory in face of unfair pressure, someone who sticks to the first commandment of Israeli culture: thou shalt never be the freier (that is, the dupe).

Swede on face of Hugo (I'm a victim) Chavez

(Venezuela) South American pocket dictator Hugo (everybody hates me) Chavez, who never misses a chance to play the victim at the hands of the US, never has any problem opining how it is the US which is guilty of fomenting trouble in foreign countries, be it Honduras, Tibet or, Allah forbid, Venezuela.

Oh how Chavez is more than happy to accuse the US of wrongdoing any chance he gets. Which is strange, as Colombia, which lies to the West of Venezuela, has accused Chavez of the very same crimes. However, Chavez has laughed off any such allegations as hyperbole.

Well, Hugo is going to have to dig a little deeper this time, as instead of computer records of payments made to FARC terrorists, the Colombians have as exhibits A, B and C a number of AT4 rocket launchers sold by Sweden to Venezuela, which were recovered from FARC terrorist camps inside Colombia.

I’m sure that Hugo's friends in Tehran will help him get out of this one, seeing as how good they are at lying out of their arses in which to excuse their behavior.

American al-Qaida member sentenced to life for Bush assassination plot

Ahmed Omar Abu Ali who joined al-Qaeda for the purpose of killing the then-President G.W. Bush, was resentenced to life in prison after the judge said his release would threaten "the safety of the American citizenry."

In 1999, Abu Ali graduated from the Islamic Saudi Academy in Fairfax County, VA. This is the Saudi-funded school which teaches that it is "OK to kill non-believers, apostates, adulterers and take their property" and which was recommended for closing by the Feds for promoting hatred and intolerance against Jews, Christians and Shiite Muslims to its nearly 1,000 students, just as they do in Saudi Arabia.

Abu Ali was the valedictorian of his 1999 class at that Islamic Academy of hate.

(WaPo) A Falls Church man convicted of plotting with al-Qaeda to kill President George W. Bush was resentenced to life in prison Monday after the judge said his release would threaten "the safety of the American citizenry."

Ahmed Omar Abu Ali had been given a 30-year prison term after he was convicted in 2005 of joining an al-Qaeda conspiracy to mount a series of Sept. 11-style attacks and assassinations in the United States. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit upheld the conviction last year but sent the case back for resentencing, indicating that the sentence should be more severe.

U.S. District Judge Gerald Bruce Lee obliged on Monday, saying he had reevaluated the case and concluded that the danger of ever releasing Abu Ali is too great. "I cannot put the safety of the American citizenry at risk," he said, citing Abu Ali's "unwillingness to renounce the beliefs that led to his terrorist activities." [Of course. After all, Abu Ali wasn't conferred the valedictorian at the Saudi Islamic Academy for nothing. - ed.]

The resentencing in U.S. District Court in Alexandria marked an apparent end to one of the most emotional and highest-profile terrorism cases since the Sept, 11, 2001, attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon. Prosecutors portrayed Abu Ali, who was valedictorian of his 1999 class at the Islamic Saudi Academy in Fairfax County, as an example of the threat of homegrown terrorism.

Islam, Slavery and Animal Porn

How many times have you heard somebody crying out to the media how being unable to express their version of Islam is against their human rights?

Be it praying at work, wearing the hijab, working near alcohol or even chopping up your daughter because you’ve had a bad CAIR day, the fact remains - human rights under the aegis of Islam is a big no no if you happen to be a non-Muslim or, even worse, a female.

Something that really rankles me is how in this modern day and age the West is found guilty of crimes against humanity in the past based on the morals of today. The prime example being ‘Slavery’ - a very emotive subject if you happen to be American, Black and a Harvard Professor.

The thing is, while it is deemed acceptable to bitch about how Western culture became rich on the black man's back, they always leave out that not only was slavery in place in Africa before whitey got there, it not only carried on but is still in pace there. In fact, the prime mover behind slavery then as in now is Islam. Yet instead of pointing out this fact, all I hear is how the West should pay reparations to all the Blacks of the World. (Hey, I’m brownskinned and English.)

Which brings me to the ugly story of how Khalid Sheikh and family ran a huge DVD counterfeiting operation by using Chinese slave labour. This odious family who, while claiming benefits, ran an illegal business in the UK which was pulling in £7 million a year by using illegal Chinese immigrants to do their dirty work.

For some strange reason, their biggest sellers in the counterfeit DVD business happened to be porn and bestiality films. Well, there’s a surprise.

In a typical show of how the law works in the UK, the father received 4 years and the sons 6 years.

Yup, in the UK, crime does pay and substantiates the view that people in the UK got rich on slavery.

Morally justified in breaking the law???

I listed all the lame excuses he's come out with, but I have to admit, even I'm gob-smacked at his latest excuse. He's now claiming that he was morally justified into breaking and entering computer networks, and thus shouldn't have to go to prison.

I dread to wonder what this toss-pot will come out with next?

(India) Pakistan has protested to the bBC that India’s launch of a nuclear powered submarine is a threat to regional stability.

Lets see, multi-cultural India has since 1947 invaded... NO one.

Pakistan, since 1947, has ethnically cleansed virtually the whole country to Islam.
In1971 it committed genocide in Bangladesh, murdering around 3 million people.
It has started 4 wars with India, invading every time.
It invented the Taliban.
Pakistani idiots have no problem murdering people in India, such as the attack on Mumbai last year.
More Pakistani Idiots are arrested for terrorist crimes than Indian in the West.
Currently, Pakistan, and not India, has a full blown war on its hands with Islamic terrorists who seek to internationalise their struggle.

And Pakistan plays the victim card.

Respect has to be earned

How often do we hear about some thug bitching about how the Western world doesn’t show enough respect to Islam? Be it a western airline, a school teacher or even the Police when arresting junior thugee (if you have the time, you really should read that last link), the onus of the message isn’t on why something transpired but rather on the hurt feelings of the member for the religion of hate.

In the UK, the British police have issued every policewoman with 2 Hijabs, so that if they have to visit a mosque then they can offer the correct respect to Islamic mores.

The Pope in May of this year spoke out of his respect for Islam.

A few years ago, Park Road School in Batley, West Yorkshire banned story books that contained the story of the three little pigs out of respect for Islam.

Americans who guard Islamic terrorists have to wear clean white cotton gloves when handing out Korans as a sign of respect.

In fact, for a faith which more often than not plays the victim card due to a lack of respect, you have to admit that we in the West show a lot more respect to Islam than they show to anybody else.

Take for example just this past week:

• In Gaza, Hamas has decreed that all women in court (irrespective of their faith) will now have to cover up so as to show their respect for Islam.
• In Nigeria, Islamic thugs have gone on the rampage because they feel that the whole country (Christians and all) should be under Sharia law.
• In Australia, hundreds of Muslims have protested about how plans for a Muslim school in Sydney were scrapped, claiming racism and a lack of respect.

Every day brings forth yet another example of the intolerance expressed by Islam towards any other faith. Yet instead of saying enough is enough and treating these idiots like the children they act like, our so called political leaders find yet more ways in which to prostate themselves in front of the local Mullah.

Hey, I’m all for showing respect, but you know what? Respect has to be earned. Problem is, the powers to be have mixed up respect with appeasement.

A very dangerous Liberal mindset

(UK) This current British government is fond of dithering. In fact, they have surpassed the likes of the UN and the EU on the art of rumination and procrastination.

Take for example how when the current socialist British government scrapped all border controls on assuming power in 1997 (well, it was against their human rights) they were kind of surprised how quickly millions of people flocked to these lands. Those who failed to gain benefits were (and still are) allowed to appeal and appeal and appeal until, due to the time elapsed dealing with their cases, granted them British citizenship because of their human rights. Instead of saying a simple Yes or NO, this current British government just dithers.

You must have seen on the news how ugly protests against G20 summits get. The rent-a-thug crowd, which descends on any G20 summit, always ensure that violent behaviour is the flavour of the day on the days headlines. Then, after having caused rack and ruin to, (the rent a crowd) opine how it is they who are the victims.

Well, in true Socialist dithering, the British government has proposed that what we need is mediation. Yes, The Joint Committee on Human Rights said poor communications lay at the heart of problems at the G20 protests. As if an unwashed, pot smoking hippy on benefits is really going to listen to a slipper wearing, tofu eating lesbian on not to attack the police because he is preventing him from sitting at the same table as all the world’s leaders. But hey, just think of all the time that can be wasted by trying to communicate to the class warriors that jaw jaw is better than war war.

Not to be outdone in its lofty ambition in which to listen to the other side of the coin, this socialist government’s Foreign Secretary ‘David (I hate being a Jew) Milliband’ has suggested that we talk with Hezb-allah,Hammas and the Taliban. Yes, it appears that giving terrorists sanctuary (and benefits) in the UK isn’t enough for the British government. Now they are proposing that we work for peace with radical Islam.

Lets see. Has talking to terrorists in Iraq, Afghanistan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Yemen, Algeria, Sudan, Nigeria, England, Spain, America, Morocco, Turkey, Canada, Thailand, Philippines, China, India, Germany, Lebanon worked?

Nah.

But hey, at least they can dither.

The pen is mightier than the sword

(UK) 2 years ago, almost to the day, a female clerk who worked for the Royal Air Force (RAF) cost the British Ministry of Defence (MoD) £484,000 in damages after she was diagnosed with the RSI-style condition de Quervain's tenosynovitis. Rather than contest the award to the woman, the MoD said: "The claimant was serving in the Royal Air Force and was engaged in data entry work". Right.

Today, the MoD is appealing against paying out £46,000 (from £9,250) to a soldier who got shot in the leg and another who received £28,750 (from £8,250) while injured in training. Both soldiers had their original payouts increased due to complications (the shot soldier has to date had to undergo 11 operations), but the MoD argues that they should only be compensated for their "original injuries".

Anybody else find it strange how a (Socialist) government, which excuses the wars in Iraq/Afghanistan as a means of combating radical Islam whose members have no problem taking the the tax-payer to the cleaners in which to fund their champagne socialist ways, will man the barricades and repel all boarders when it comes to British soldiers who find themselves injured serving the Queen and the country, yet defend the lottery like winnings of a clerk who finds herself with a wee bit of pain after typing as justice?

Only in the UK can such an injustice transpire.

Battle-tested Colombian Commandos Headed to Afghanistan after Defeating Terrorists in their own Country

The US-trained elite Colombian commandos are about to join the fight against terrorism in Afghanistan.

(CBS) U.S. forces are about to get some much-needed help as they fight the Taliban in Afghanistan, reports CBS News chief foreign affairs correspondent Lara Logan in an exclusive report. The Colombian commandos are U.S. trained and battle-tested from having defeated terrorists in their own country.

Ten years ago, they didn't even exist. Today, elite Colombian Special Operations troops are preparing to fight alongside the U.S. in Afghanistan, reports CBS News chief foreign affairs correspondent Lara Logan.

For Colombia, it's a way to give something back to the U.S., and the American Green Berets who've spent the last decade training them.

7 North Carolina Men Charged With Terror Conspiracy, Accused Of Advancing 'violent Jihad'

Court documents indicate that prosecutors will introduce evidence gathered under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act. The very same act the ACLU wants to abolish, calling it unconstitutional.

(AP) A North Carolina man trained in Pakistan and Afghanistan has been charged along with six of his alleged recruits with conspiring to support terrorism and traveling overseas to participate in "violent jihad," according to an indictment unsealed Monday.

Daniel Patrick Boyd, 39, and the six other men were arrested Monday and made their first appearances in Raleigh, charged with providing material support to terrorism.

"These charges hammer home the point that terrorists and their supporters are not confined to the remote regions of some far away land but can grow and fester right here at home," U.S. Attorney George E.B. Holding said in a statement. He declined further comment.

The indictment said Boyd, a U.S. citizen, trained in Afghanistan and fought there between 1989 and 1992 against the Soviet Union before returning to the United States. Court documents charged that Boyd, also known as 'Saifullah,' encouraged others to engage in jihad.

Two of the suspects are Daniel Patrick Boyd's sons: Zakariya Boyd, 20 and Dylan Boyd, 22. The others are Anes Subasic, 33; Mohammad Omar Aly Hassan, 22; and Ziyad Yaghi, 21.

Hysen Sherifi, 24, a native of Kosovo and a U.S. legal permanent was also charged. in the case. He was the only person arrested who was not a U.S. citizen.

'Honour killings' of girls and women on the rise in Canada

West meets East which brings along its backwards, misogynistic culture of death.

(Canada) As many as 5,000 women and girls lose their lives - most at the hands of family members - in "honour killings" around the world each year, according to the United Nations.

Up to a dozen have died for the same reason in Canada in the last decade, and it's happening more often, says Amin Muhammad, a psychiatrist who studies honour killings at Memorial University in Newfoundland.

``There are a number of organizations which don't accept the idea of honour killing; they say it's a Western-propagated myth by the media, but it's not true,'' he says. ``Honour killing is there, and we should acknowledge it, and Canada should take it seriously.''

Kingston, Ont., police are now investigating that as a motive in the deaths of three teenage sisters and an older female relative who were found in a car submerged in the Rideau Canal in Kingston on June 30. The girls' mother, father and brother were arrested on Wednesday and charged with first-degree murder.

One of the earliest honour killings involving a Canadian occurred in 2000, when Maple Ridge, B.C., resident Jaswinder Sidhu was murdered in India in what police called a contract killing, after she married a man she met while travelling.

In 2003, Amandeep Atwal, 17, died after her father stabbed her 17 times. The Kitimat, B.C., teen had been secretly seeing a boyfriend.

Sixteen-year-old Aqsa Parvez's father and brother are currently awaiting trial for her strangulation death in 2007, and friends said the Brampton, Ont., teen had been clashing with her family over her refusal to wear the hijab.

In May, an Ottawa man was sentenced to life in prison for killing his sister, Khatera Sadiqi, 20, and her fiance.

``We cannot say there's a huge number of cases, but now the cases are increasing, and very soon we'll have a problem in Canada,'' says Muhammad.

Men occasionally die in honour killings, he says, but young women are almost always the victims in western countries.

(JPost) Iran on Monday rejected the idea of a US defensive umbrella to protect Washington's regional allies against a nuclear Iran.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Hasan Qashqavi told reporters that "there is no need" for a US defensive umbrella, just for Washington to tell Israel to "dismantle its own 200 nuclear warheads."

On a more serious note, the Obama administration indicates that it had come to terms with the idea of Iran having nuclear weapons:

Speaking on a Thai TV talk show earlier that day, Clinton had raised eyebrows by suggesting that the United States would extend a "defense umbrella" over its allies in the Persian Gulf to prevent Teheran from dominating that region "once they have a nuclear weapon."

Pakistani police: Ex-lawmaker involved in beheading

The ex-lawmaker, who also happened to be a cleric, is accused of ordering the beheading of the Polish geologist kidnapped in Pakistan in September 2008.

ISLAMABAD (Reuters) - Pakistani police have arrested a former member of parliament for his alleged involvement in the beheading of a Polish engineer by Taliban militants in February, his brother and an aide said on Sunday.

Shah Abdul Aziz, a cleric and former lawmaker from an Islamist party, was apprehended after the main person accused in the case, a militant named Attaullah Khan, told police he had killed geologist Piotr Stanczak on Aziz's orders, his brother said.

That's right, British taxpayers foot the bill for the defense of those who are hell-bent on killing them en masse.

And who gets paid with their money? A Muslims lawyer who advised South London mosque goers that "The rule of thumb on a terrorist case is do not answer any questions."

(The Sun) A CONTROVERSIAL woman solicitor who specialises in defending terrorists has raked in £4.5million in legal aid from taxpayers.

The payout to Mercedes -driving Mudassar Arani, 45, was exposed following a Freedom of Information request. Headscarf-wearing Mrs Arani - who represented three of the 21/7 bomb plotters - billed taxpayers almost £1million in the last year alone. The sums - equivalent to nearly £20,000 a week - put her on the same pay as a Premier League footballer.

The lawyer, boss of Arani & Co in Southall, West London, has also represented hook-handed hate preacher Abu Hamza and "dirty bomb" plotter Dhiren Barot.

Nigerian "Taliban" attack police in two states, lay waste to everything in their path

As Obama told the world in his Cairo speech, "throughout history, Islam has demonstrated through words and deeds the possibilities of religious tolerance and racial equality."

Potisk, 27 July (AKI) - Islamist militants have attacked Nigerian police in two northern states, the Nigerian daily Tribune newspaper reported on Monday. So-called "Taliban" militants clashed with police in Nigeria's Borno state after at least 200 people were killed in clashes between Islamic militants and police on Sunday in neighbouring Bauchi state.

Many other people were seriously injured in the Bauchi clashes.

The self-styled Taliban group clashed on Monday with security forces in Maiduguri, capital of neighbouring Borno State. People were also reported to be fleeing central Maiduguri.

Islamist militants in Maiduguri reportedly destroyed everything they could lay their hands on and the police station and neighbouring buildings in Maiduguri were razed to the ground, according to eyewitnesses.

Palestinian teens pose as IDF soldiers in order to rob other Palestinians

That's kind of funny, but the big question is: where and how the hell did they get IDF uniforms?

(Ynet) Five youths arrested by Palestinian police after putting on IDF uniform, declaring curfew in village near Bethlehem in attempt to rob houses

Five Palestinians aged 15 to 17 were arrested Sunday by the Palestinian police on suspicion of posing as Israel Defense Forces and raiding houses in the West Bank village of Marah Rabah, south of Bethlehem.

The police reported that the five youths did not live in the village, but were seized after raising the suspicions of local residents as they entered houses dressed in IDF uniform.

According to the village residents, the five had even tried to declare a curfew on one of the streets before entering a house and searching it. The owner of one of the houses called for help, and managed to hold onto the youths until the Palestinian police arrived.

The suspects were taken in for investigation by the Palestinian Authority's General Intelligence Service.

Egypt charges 26 'Hizbullah spies'

Two Lebanese and five Palestinians are among those charged with spying for Hezbollah, plotting terrorists attacks in Egypt and supplying Hamas with weapons.

Hezbollah and Lebanese officials have no comments.

(JPost) Egypt's prosecutor general on Sunday officially indicted 26 suspects, including two Lebanese and five Palestinians, on suspicion of spying for Hizbullah, as well as plotting terrorist attacks and aiding Gaza gunmen.

Egyptian security officials had been working on the case, now known in the press as "the Hizbullah Cell," since April when they said they uncovered plots Hizbullah plots to destabilize Egypt.

Hizbullah leader Hassan Nasrallah at the time rejected the accusations of intending to harm Egypt's security, but did admit to sending an agent to supervise arms shipments to Hamas in Gaza.

Prosecutor Abdel-Meguid Mahmoud referred the suspects, who also include a Sudanese, to trial in the State Security Emergency Court, a special tribunal where trials are swift and verdicts cannot be appealed.

He also called for the immediate arrest of senior Hezbollah official, Mohammed Qabalan, and three Egyptians who are all still large.

Pakistan arrests influential pro-Taliban cleric

The cleric was arrested along with his two sons and an accomplice for his role in fomenting unrest in Swat valley.

Islamabad (PTI): The Pro-Taliban cleric Sufi Muhammad, who brokered a now-defunct peace deal between the authorities and insurgents, was today arrested in northwestern Pakistani city of Peshawar for his links to militants and his role in fomenting unrest in the lawless Swat valley.

Sufi, who heads the banned Tehrik-e-Nifaz-e-Shariah Muhammadi, was arrested with his sons Ziaullah and Rizwanullah and an accomplice by a large police contingent during a raid in the City Town area of Peshawar. The four men were taken away to an unknown location.

Mian Iftikhar Hussain, the Information Minister for North West Frontier Province, told a news conference that Sufi Muhammad was arrested for speaking against the government and encouraging violence and terrorism in Malakand division, which includes Swat valley.

Pakistan: Teenage bombers are rescued from Taliban suicide training camps

Between 1,200 and 1,500 teenage boys as young as 11 have been kidnapped by the Taliban and to be trained as suicide bombers. The Army believes those kidnappings took place after the Pakistani government signed the so called peace accord with the Taliban.

(Times Online) Murad Ali, one of five schoolboy suicide bombers rescued from a Taleban training camp, looks haggard beyond his 13 years.

He was thrilled at first when he was given a gun, but Murad told The Times last week of his ordeal at the hands of the Islamists, who have kidnapped 1,500 children like him to prepare for their fatal missions.

Murad was studying in class five in Mingora, the main city in northwest Pakistan’s Swat Valley, when the Islamists abducted him and took him to their remote mountain base in Chuprial.

Looking drained in his smudged clothes and dirty sandals, he gave a glimpse into the short life that awaits boys who are taken by the Taleban.

The next stage of his training included 16 hours a day of physical exercise and psychological indoctrination. “My instructor told me that martyrdom is the biggest reward of Allah,” Murad said quietly.

Another boy, Abdul Wahab, 15, said that the Taleban lured him to the camp from his studies at a madrassa — Islamic school — in Mingora. “I was told that it was a religious duty of every Muslim to get training to fight the enemies of Islam,” he said.

He said that he did not appreciate what he would be asked to do. “I panicked when a few days later I was told that I would be getting training for suicide bombing,” he said.

(Ynet) The operators of the internet site Facebook have recently removed a webpage dedicated to fans of Hamas' prime minister in Gaza, Ismail Haniyeh, the London-based Al-Hayat reported Sunday.

The webpage, called 'Commander Ismail Haniyeh', had attracted more than 10,000 Facebook users by the time it was removed from the internet.

One such user told the Arab daily that the site's operators had not provided an explanation for their action. He warned that similar action may be taken against other Hamas-affiliated Facebook webpages, including that of Hamas' politburo chief, Khaled Mashaal, which has already accumulated 17,000 'friends'.

Many Facebook users have protested the move by its editors by sending emails to the site's owners, demanding they restore Haniyeh's webpage and refrain from cutting other Hamas-linked sites in the interest of freedom of speech.

Al-Hayat's report states that "the assumption is that the site is under pressure from Israel, the US, or other groups acting with Israel's interests in mind and battling against the Palestinian people and its resistance movements, including Hamas".

Nasrallah: We Will Hit Tel Aviv Next Time

Suicide bomber kills 6, wounds 10 in Chechnya

The regional Emergency Ministry said the attacker tried to enter a concert hall minutes before the start of a play. It said four police officers stopped the attacker about 40 meters (130 feet) from the hall and died in the explosion.

The Interior Ministry said at least 10 civilians were wounded, and almost 800 spectators inside the hall were evacuated. Two of the wounded, a Turkish construction manager and a Georgian national, died in the hospital, it said.

I've been very skeptical about the Media and their so called exclusives.

So when I came across the above in both the Guardian and New Scientist, I knew it wasn't the scoop one usually finds in the Tabloids. So I took a closer look, and what do you know, it's actually truth, the damn thing does exist. OK, its not a soap bubble but it bloody hell looks like one. Officially known as PN G75.5+1.7, the Soap Bubble is an example of a planetary nebula. These are formed when the nuclear fusion reactions at the centre of a star can no longer support its structure. External layers of the star are forced outwards, drifting through space for thousands of years.

These gases are ionised by ultraviolet light from the remaining core and glow, resulting in nebulae that take on a variety of shapes and sizes. Most are elliptical or cigar-shaped, but the Soap Bubble Nebula is a rare sphere.

What is it with Muslims and doing the things they say they despise???

(UK) During my misspent youth I used to go clubbing. Boy did i love to move it. Anyway, on my short sojourns home I would meet up with the lads and spend the weekend dancing away (and then, on my return home, feel the room spinning around).

One of my party tricks was to spot Muslim lads (sorry, no Hindus where I am from) and glass in hand walk over to them and ask them with a smile on my face if they were Muslims? Every time I asked, the reply I got back was 'Yes.' To which I would say, well what the f-k are you doing here with a drink in your hand, looking at women?

My mates just couldn't believe the neck I had. But hey, as an apostate from the religion of hate, why should I let up on hypocritical wankers who, while having no problem complaining about sex, beer and rock and roll during daylight, would, as soon as the sun went down, have no problem partaking in all the sins and vices they keep on telling us all offends them.

Which brings me to Mr Majid Hussain of Nottingham. You see, last year while out clubbing, Mr Hussain and his pious friends got into an argument with some not so pious fellows which resulted with Mr Hussain getting ejected out of the front door of the Gatecrasher nightclub.

Well, he wasn't having any of that, what with his honour at state. So, lying in wait for the people who offended his honour , on their exit from the club he drove a car and ran over the man he had an argument with. Then, not happy with how the car had severely injured his victim, Mr Hussian and his pack of deeply religious and pious friends decided to beat the crap out of the victim.

Well, today he got his just reward for going against the tenets of his faith by receiving 20 years for attempted murder, violent disorder and attempted grievous bodily harm. His posse of religious acolytes (all 9 of them) got sent down as well. The best bit Majid felt the need to avenge his honour while been dishonorable (Well Alcohol,Women,and fighting are according to the faithful) found himself getting sent down by somebody he had to refer to as "Your honour".

(UK) The other week, the leader of the British Nazi Party (BNP) Nick (I have six fingers and toes) Griffin spoke out about how Europe should sink boats containing asylum seekers. Real hard talk from a real hard man (maybe under all that fat) what.

Nick tries to present himself as a modern day King Arthur who will fight for the right of whites in the UK. The other day, a young lad threw a pint of beer over Nick the Prick, and for doing so got a good kicking. And you know what? As much as I find the BNP odious, the young lad got what he deserved.

That should have been the end of the story. But no, the champion of the extra chromosome brigade has only put in an assault claim against the young lad.

Err Nick yer Prick, your jackbooted thugs already kicked his teeth in, why you need to waste police time with how somebody threw a pint over you I do not know.

I'm really impressed with how somebody whose supporters are known for violence, who idolizes violence and who himself only a few weeks ago promoted violence is now running to the police because a young lad threw a pint over him.

C-RAM

The Americans and Brits in Iraq hit on a quick solution in which to combat the many rockets and mortars which were launched at their bases from outside the fence by Allah’s little helpers.

Some bright spark hitched up a ship-borne Phalanx close-in weapon system (CIWS) to a trailer, added a generator and pressed the auto switch. C-RAM, as it is now refereed to, has proven itself to be very successful in taking out any incoming rounds. So successful (70-80% knockdown rate) has it been that other countries are also getting in on the act, the latest being Germany which has placed an order for 2 systems for use in Afghanistan but using the Swiss Sky shield system instead of the US Phalanx.

(For those of you who don’t know what a CIWS is, it’s basically a lot of gun barrels tied together which spit out a hell of a lot of bullets when somebody presses the trigger.)

Israel has looked into the system, but rather than waste time reinventing the wheel, tried to purchase a unit off of the Yanks. Unfortunately, the Americans and Brits had first dibs (I wonder why?) and it wasn’t until this April that Israel was finally able to order one. OK, it's second hand and will be coming direct from Iraq but it seems that the IDF wish to see about incorporating the system into the defence of Sderot, but that will entail purchasing another.

Yes, I know the IDF have other projects in the pipeline, but they are still projects in progress, where the C-RAM is proven in theatre. Anyway, here is a video of it in use. Enjoy.

Raped 8-year-old child disowned by family

(US) In Phoenix, Arizona, 4 young boys (all under the age of 14) lured a child of 8 into a shed and raped her.

However, when the police went to the home of the poor child her parents blamed her for the rapes and bringing shame to the family. The father told the case worker and an officer in her presence that he didn't want her back. He said "Take her, I don't want her,"'

The child is now in the care of social services. What the hell is going through her mind? She is hurt, she wants the comfort of her family and they...disown her.

Everybody involved in this sorry incident happen to be recent immigrants from the African state of Liberia.

Personally, I would deport the family and the boys (with their families) back to Africa in which to reinforce to recent immigrants that in the US there are rules and they overrule any cultural practices which conflict with the rule of law.

I also believe that if actions like this were carried out, then so called religious practices such as refusing to carry guide dogs, honour killings and treating servants as slaves would be left behind in the countries these people claim to be running away from - Racist mindset on my behalf? far from it. I wish for everybody to live in equality and peace. That means no religious or cultural cop-outs.

Something tells me deporting rule breakers won't happen. Then again...

The document was distributed to the Foreign Ministry, Finance Ministry and the Israeli intelligence community, and was also sent to the United States to warn it that the $900 million it has pledged to help rebuild the Gaza Strip could fall into Hamas hands.

"All humanitarian aid sent into the Gaza Strip today needs to receive Hamas clearance," a senior defense official told The Jerusalem Post on Thursday. "Hamas uses violence against international organizations, including UNRWA, if they do not cooperate."

Always Look On The Bright Side of Life

The other week I wrote about how Jewish actor 'Sacha Baron Cohen' (aka Ali G + Borat), while acting under his persona 'Bruno', took the piss out of a load of British Nazis.

(UK) Anyway, it transpires that in his latest film he refers to Osma Bin Laden as a Dirty Wizard or a homeless Father Christmas, Hamas as humus, and in an interview with Abu Aita (Al Aqsa Martyrs' Brigade) he states "I want to be famous, and I want the best guys in the business to kidnap me".

Well, it appears Allah's little helpers have taken offence at having the piss taken out of them, and have made a number of death threats against Sacha Baron Cohen and his family.

Nothing new, we all presume. But it isn't, is it? Under the aegis that Muslims claim to be religion, they have silenced any criticism against their faith by the use of threats and murder. In the UK (never mind the rest), nobody dares even give as much as a funny look to a Muslim, in case they are instantly castigated as a racist or even worse - 'attacked'.

I have to wonder out loud that if only Muslims laughed more, would there be less problems in the world. If the Christian world can laugh its socks off at 'The life of Brian', why can't Islamic terrorists laugh at a comedian taking the piss? It's not like he's chopping somebody's head off, is it?

UN official: Arms cache that exploded in Lebanon was Hezbollah's

Security Council discusses Israeli complaints on recent incidents near its northern border; Under-Secretary-General LeRoy says Shiite group responsible for blast at arms cache and subsequent attack on UNIFIL soldiers sent to investigate it.

Which means that the UN finally officially admits that Hezbollah is in direct violation of the UN resolution 1701, according to which it was supposed to be disarmed, and that the UN can do nothing about it.

(Ynet) United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Peacekeeping Operations Alain LeRoy said Thursday that Hezbollah was responsible for heightened tensions in southern Lebanon.

During a UN Security Council session that discussed Israel's complaints on the recent developments in Lebanon, LeRoy said that the arms cache that exploded in the area last week was used by Hezbollah.

He claimed that the attack on French UNIFIL soldiers sent to investigate the explosion was not carried out by civilians, adding that Hezbollah men were spotted in the area.

Ambassador Alex Wolff, of the US Mission to the UN, said the Shiite group's arms cache constituted a clear violation of UN Resolution 1701, which ended the Second Lebanon War.

The bBC, with its steady drip-dripping of negative stories towards the Jews, has seen the population of the UK become very polarised towards them. Let's be serious here, the bBC could have taught Goebbels a trick or two on how to wage a propaganda campaign.

But what makes this rise of hate against the Jews even worse is how Al-Beeb bends over backwards in which to hide the real evil bastards out there. Christ, after the suicide bombings in 2005 on the London Underground, rather than refer to the evil Bs who carried out that ugly deed as terrorists, Al-Beeb referred to them as 'misguided criminals'. Hezbollah targets Canada

Hezbollah agents in Canada are actively involved in recruiting and gathering intelligence information in order to strike Western targets if Iran's nuclear program is attacked.

(Canada) Hezbollah may be collecting intelligence in Canada as it prepares to retaliate against the West if Iran's nuclear program is attacked, according to recently declassified intelligence reports.

The Canadian government reports say Hezbollah has been "rearming and recruiting" for another war with Israel, as well as readying to strike Western targets in the event Iran's nuclear sites are destroyed.

"Hezbollah's military wing is responsible for planning and executing terrorist acts and collecting intelligence," says one of the reports. "Hezbollah members may reside in Canada to undertake activities such as intelligence collection."

The British PC Plod

(UK) For some strange reason, the British Police seem to think that everybody in the world still sees them in the light of Dixon of Dock Green, and that they always get their man.

Really. I wrote the other week about how a police dog handler allowed his two police dogs to cook to death inside their police van on the hottest day of the year. Today I mentioned how the police, in a case of attempted honour killing in darkest London, haven’t removed the female but instead informed that her life may be at risk while they deliberate how to deal with her case.

We also have the on going case of how a Police woman who was also the mother of the murderer of a young girl Not only washed his clothes in which to remove vital evidence she went out of her in which to cover for him. (Problem here was the victim lived long enough to say who did it)

And we also have the just aired story about how 5 policemen decided to have group sex with a 19 year old drunk girl inside a London pub during opening hours. Talk about bending over and receiving swollen goods.

Just now I’ve come across the case of how Police Weapons instructor David Micklethwaite, 52, shot Keith Tilbury, 51, in the stomach during firearms awareness training for civilian staff in 2007. Now, I know that you never ever point a weapon at anybody in jest, and that also when you pick up a weapon for the first time, you check it in which to make it safe.

Its seems that Weapons Instructor Micklethwaite not only forgot to carry out all those basic weapon checks, he then pointed the Magnum (as in Clint Eastwood) handgun at Mr Tilbury and pulled the trigger, severely injuring Mr Tilbury in the stomach.

But here’s where it gets stupid. You see, PC Micklethwaite denies breaking safety rules and will now have to wait until September to see if he will go on trial.

Remind me again how weapon instructors are supposed to be experts on how to handle weapons.

No wonder the Public have lost faith with the Old Bill.

Canadian Muslims always get their (wo)men

(Canada) Police have arrested (and now charged with murder) 3 members of the same Islamic family (the father, the mother and the son) as they attempted to make their way to the airport in which to leave on a jet plane.

They were arrested over the mysterious deaths of 3 sisters (Zainab Shafi, 19, Sahar, 17, and Geeti, 13) and their aunt whose bodies were found inside a car found submerged deep inside the Rideau Canal after a trip to Niagara Falls and Toronto when the whole family stopped for the night at a motel in Kingston.

After the family had been seen shedding what now appears to have been crocodile tears over the deaths of their 3 daughters and their aunt in June of this year, Police were none the wiser until they received a letter from the real aunt of the girls. It appears that the so called aunt wasn't their aunt but rather the girls' actual mother and she (Rona Amir Mohammed) was Mohammed Shafi's first wife. Making the wife arrested on her way to the airport, wife number 2.

Which may help explain why Mohammad and his second family had packed their bags and decided to relocate to an Islamic land where honour killings are the norm and where Canadian Justice doesn't apply.

Pakistan: Christian Shot Eight Times for Refusing to Pay Protection Money

WASHINGTON, D.C. (ANS) -- A human rights organization has learned that a Christian businessman was shot eight times in the legs while driving through Lahore, Pakistan after refusing to pay protection money to a Muslim.

According to a news release from Christian human rights organization International Christian Concern (ICC),Suqlain Shah, a former policeman, and another man, Sudia, stopped Ayub Gill's car at 2:25 p.m. on July 7, as Ayub was going to buy a property in a nearby town.

Ayub's brother Babar was driving and two other relatives were in the back seat. Suqlain pulled out a gun and dragged Babar out of the driver's seat, threatening to kill him.

ICC said Suqlain then got in the driver's seat and shot Ayub eight times in the legs. After stealing $2,500, they fled on bicycles. Ayub is now recovering in the hospital, but the doctors do not know if he will be able to walk again.

ICC said that Suqlain, who lives near Ayub, had threatened him a few days earlier, when Ayub had bought a car for his brother. It was the family's third car.

When Suqlain saw that they had three cars, he approached Ayub and demanded money. ICC reported he said, “You now have three cars, so give me $3,750. You are a wealthy Christian, so it is my right to get as much money as I need from you. If you don't give it to me, I will kill you.”

Preliminary Report: Bin Laden’s Son May Have Been Killed by U.S. Missile

If the report is confirmed, his death would be very symbolic, since it was a Hellfire missile strike.

July 23 (Bloomberg) -- Osama bin Laden’s son may have been killed in a U.S. missile strike in Pakistan earlier this year, National Public Radio reported.

Sa’ad bin Laden, believed to be in his late 20s, was killed by Hellfire missiles fired from a Predator drone, the U.S. broadcaster said on its Web site, citing an unidentified American counterterrorism official. Osama bin Laden has between 14 and 18 sons, the Associated Press reported in 2003.

U.S. spy agencies are 80 percent to 85 percent certain that Sa’ad Bin Laden is dead, NPR cited the official as saying. It is hard to be completely sure without a body to conduct DNA tests on, he said.

Honourable Islamic behaviour in the UK

(UK) In yet another example of how the followers of Islam stick two fingers (actually, as this is about Pakistani thugs, that should be 6 fingers) to the laws of the UK, A number of brave Islamic warriors felt the need to avenge their honour when they found out that the wife of one of their own decided that having a fulfilling relationship with her first cousin wasn’t for her and embarked on a relationship with someone she actually loved. Problem here is that in the Islamic republic of Londonistan such crimes fall under the remit of Sharia law, and as such, justice has been meted out on her lover. Pak style.

Yup, at 2am on July 2nd 2009 4 men broke into the flat of the Danish Muslim who was having the affair and decided to not only give him a good kicking and a good stabbing (in the back I should add), they decided to pour sulphuric acid down his throat as well as all over him.

Still alive but on life support, the man who has 90% burns to his body is now blind and has lost his tongue, isn’t expected to live.

Speaking out on the matter, Islamic community leader Imtiaz Qadir of the Active Change Foundation said:

‘Honour crime happens a lot in our community, especially the Pakistani community, but we do try to educate the people. It's a cultural thing from back home. But this type of horrible crime is not exclusive just to Muslims, there have been cases in other religions.’

Well, that makes it OK, doesn't it? They are trying to educate the Pakistani community. Mind you, I did like how, as usual, he inserted “this type of horrible crime is not exclusive just to Muslims” into the equation in which to try and point the finger of blame elsewhere. What utter bollocks.

Mind you, I’m sure the female half of this very dangerous liaison is feeling a lot safer in the full knowledge on how the British Police are treating this case. I quote from the newspaper article:

Welcome to Dhimmi Scotland where defacing the Bible is art

(Glasgow) Sometimes when I'm bored, I pop into London and visit the likes of the National Gallery, and while away a few hours, walking round enjoying the beautiful pictures on show. Let's be honest here, the art on show is art, and is a million miles away from what the trendy political elites class as art, or should I say modern art.

I mean each to their own, but trying to tell me that some examples of modern art can be classed as art is beyond a joke. I mean take for example the GALLERY OF MODERN ART in Glasgow and its current Made in God’s Image exhibition which, believe it or not, is being funded by the British tax-payer. The exhibition gives a platform to artists Anthony Schrag and David Malone and allows them to express how they have explored faith and sexuality with members of The Gay Metropolitain Community Church, Quest, The Gay Al Jannah Muslim Group and individuals from a range of bent faiths.

And so, instead of showing how artists throughout the ages have have related to 'God' in the typical fashion of the so called political elite, they have gone well out of their way in which to shock in as lazy a way as possible their feeble attempts to justify £7,000 worth of tax payers funding while trying to pass it off as Art.

So what have they done?

Well, quite simply, they have placed an open Bible on show complete with pens, and allowed visitors to protest the lack of gay stories in the Bible by defacing it.

In fact, the artist (Artist?) Anthony Schrag states that human rights are behind the show. If, as the bBC claims, this is nothing more than a PR stunt, how would they relate to pictures of a certain American politician who shook hands with a certain Middle-Eastern despot in which to say that America was just as complicit as he was in murdering millions of people. I mean, the bBC had no problem using it on its websites.

5 Iranian pilgrims killed in Iraq bus attack‎

Muslims killing Muslims, but Iran blames the killing on the presence of foreign troops in Iraq.

(VOA) Iraqi police say unidentified gunmen killed five Iranian pilgrims and wounded more than 30 others Wednesday as they journeyed to Shi'ite holy sites in Iraq.

Police said gunmen opened fire on buses traveling near the city of Baquba, on a highway that connects Iran to Baghdad.

Iranian state-run media put the death toll higher, with six dead in the attack. Iranian media also report an Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman, Hassan Qashqavi, condemned the violence, which he said stems from the presence of foreign troops in Iraq. He also criticized Baghdad for not ensuring the safety of Iranian nationals.

Netanyahu says West Bank barrier to stay

Palestinian officials had pressed Washington to push for the barrier to be dismantled because of an improved security situation in the West Bank.

Well, duh. That's the situation has improved because the wall was build, which is why it's there to stay.

JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu rejected on Wednesday any notion he would order Israel's barrier in the West Bank to be torn down in response to the absence of Palestinian attacks from the occupied territory.

"The separation fence will remain in place and will not be dismantled," Netanyahu said in a speech in parliament.

"I hear they are saying today that because it's quiet, it's possible to take down the fence. My friends, the opposite is true," he said. "It's quiet because a fence exists."

"This was originally a decision made by the Knesset Education Committee during the term of the previous Knesset," he said, "and I will remind you that the committee was headed by Labor MK Michael Melchior, such that this position has across-the-board support.”

American Muslim Convert Charged in Attack on U.S. Base in Afghanistan

What it is that turns people to terrorists when they join the Religion of Peace™?

(NY Times) A 26-year-old American-born Long Island man who traveled to Pakistan and trained in a Qaeda camp there last year has been charged with taking part in a rocket attack against a United States base in Afghanistan, according to court papers unsealed on Wednesday.

The man, Bryant Neal Vinas, who was arrested in Peshawar, Pakistan, last November, was also charged with assisting Al Qaeda by providing “expert advice and assistance” that was “derived from specialized knowledge of the New York transit system and the Long Island Rail Road, communications equipment and personnel,” according to the papers.

The court papers, a criminal information charging Mr. Vinas with conspiracy and carrying out the attempted missile attack, providing material support to Al Qaeda and receiving military support from the group, did not mention a specific New York City plot involving the Long Island Rail Road. The papers, filed by prosecutors in the office of the Brooklyn United States attorney, Benton J. Campbell, also say that he attempted the attack and received “military-type training” from and on behalf of Al Qaeda between March and August 2008.

Somali Scum Gets 35 Years

(UK) In Nov 2005, police in the city of Bradford received a call that a travel agency was getting raided by a gang. The first police to arrive happened to be two policewomen, and the gang, being the brave Islamic hardmen that they purport to be, decided to shoot their way out. One was murdered at the spot and the other one wounded.

The brave Islamic warriors then did a runner. Well, 4 of the men were captured almost straight away but one, Mustaf Jama, returned to his homeland of Somalia in which to hide out with his warlord father. The strange thing here is, not only did Mustaf and his equally odious brother Yusuf seek sanctuary in the UK, but mere weeks before they decided to repay the UK with blood they were allowed to stay citing that it was far too dangerous for them to return home.

But here's the catch. Mustaf Jama had only been released from prison a couple of months before he decided to join in the murder of PC Sharon Beshenivsky. The bloody idiotic home office failed to deport him as they should have. Not only that but, as I mentioned above, they then gave him special leave to remain here.

Which begs me to ask the question: what is the point of having a border service if they don't carry out the job they are paid to do? This isn't the first case of an asylum seeker carrying out a criminal act nor will it be the last. But the fact remains: we appear to be unable to deport these f-ckers if they are caught being up to no good because of their human rights.

If you think that is bad, questions still have to be answered how this murdering scumbag evaded the police by dressing up in a Burka and flying out of the country on his sisters passport. Christ talk about concessions to Muslims in the Uk

To final cap his totally indignant Islamic attitude, Mustaf gave police the finger in court after he received 35 years for his part in murdering a policewoman.

No doubt some human rights org will now be burning the midnight oil in which to get his case declared a miscarriage of justice.

Pakistani troops kill 27 Taliban in northwest

Since the beginning of this 3-month-old offensive, the Pakistani military and security forces have killed some 1,800 Taliban. And, unlike in Israel's case, nobody is accusing them of a disproportionate response.

ISLAMABAD (Reuters) - Pakistani troops killed 27 militants and arrested another 10 over the past day in an ongoing offensive against the Taliban in the country's northwest, the military said on Wednesday.

Security forces are nearing the end of an operation launched close to three months ago in the Swat valley and the nearby districts of Buner and Lower Dir, but they still face pockets of resistance in some areas.

As many as 16 militants were killed in Lower Dir alone, where troops killed over 50 in fighting on Sunday and Monday, most of whom had fled there from Swat.

The military says it has killed nearly 1,800 militants, but critics say few guerrilla leaders have been eliminated. Independent casualty estimates are unavailable.

Bomb Explodes at Gaza Wedding

(Khan Younis) In the democratic republic of Gaza, at a wedding for the nephew of Mohammed Dahlan (the leader of Fatah inside Gaza), somebody decided to detonate a bomb. While injuring over 50 people, Mohammed the presumed target didn't attend.

Of course, this being a terrorist on terrorist action inside Gaza, the vast majority of the world's media won't bother reporting this outrage. In fact, I'll put money on the side to say that not one human rights org will even bother to mention this as it has nothing to do with Israel.

(Telegraph) Pakistanis who send jokes about Asif Zardari by text message, email or blog risk being arrested and given a 14-year prison sentence.

The country's interior minister, Rehman Malik, announced the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) had been asked to trace electronically transmitted jokes that "slander the political leadership of the country" under the new Cyber Crimes Act.

Iran: 'More arrests after fresh anti-government protests'

Protesters and foreign journalists arrested in a fresh round of anti-government demonstrations in Tehran.

Tehran, 21 July (AKI) - Iranian riot police were reported on Tuesday to have arrested dozens of pro-reform protesters in Tehran after demonstrations turned violent. Protesters shouted "Death to the dictator!" and "Ahmadinejad resign!" Iranian blogging websites said. The re-election of Iran's hardline president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad last month sparked widespread street protests and allegations of vote-rigging.

Police clashed with hundreds of people marching despite a ban on public gatherings since the disputed election on 12 June. At least 17 people were arrested in many days of protests after the polls, and hundreds were arrested.

At least fifteen people including journalists and rights activists were reported to have been arrested in the Iranian capital last Friday. The arrests took place during street protests staged by supporters of defeated opposition presidential candidate Mir Hossein Mousavi.

Afghanistan: 6 suicide bombers (aka Allah's little helpers) and several gunmen attacked government installations and killed at least 9 people. All the attackers were wearing traditional women's burquas.

Gardez, 21 July (AKI) - At least nine people have been killed in a series of bold attacks by Taliban militants in eastern Afghanistan. A group of gunmen and suicide bombers attacked four key sites, including the governor's compound, in the city of Gardez, capital of the southeastern province of Patia.

Six suicide bombers attacked three government buildings in Gardez killing at least two policemen and three intelligence agents, provincial officials were quoted as saying. All were reported to have entered the city wearing traditional head-to-toe women's burquas.

Gunbattles raged in Gardez amid confused reports of the fighting. The six bombers and several personnel were killed, Afghanistan's defence ministry said.

And last week, in order to provide the best service it can to its customers, it sent out a patch over the air in which to allow its Blackberry customers to upgrade their phones.

Problem is, the patch, while legal from Etisalat point of view, wasn't from Blackberry's or even the customers' point of view. You see, the upgrade was actually a spyware Program which allows somebody (Nobody has owned up yet) to listen in on what you have to say (or write) to your friends.

Blackmail against Women on the rise in Saudi Arabia

(Saudi Arabia) Blackmail against women is on the rise in Saudi Arabia, with more complaints to the religious police, according to press reports, prompting some women to take matters into their own hands.

Electronic blackmail, using pictures of women stored on their computer, the internet or mobile phones, has become an increasingly common form of blackmail used to extort money from the victim or force her into prostitution.

Last year 65 women and girls filed cases in Mecca alone, though many never make a formal report, Ahmed Qassem al-Ghamdi, head of the Mecca branch of the Commission for the Propagation of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice told the London-based Asharq al-Awsat Saturday.

A study by the commission last year found that blackmail often involves threatening to harm a woman’s reputation by telling or showing her family scandalous information, and that victims typically range in age between 16 and 39.

If the same action was taken against Mr Naz for selling fake alcohol in the UK, you can be sure of a huge public outcry over his human rights. Yet a woman caught drinking 1 beer while on holiday, and not one human rights activist can bother his/her arse in which to bitch about how the weak are treated in Islamic lands.

Maybe that's why they call themselves peace protesters, they get to pick what pieces of the news which offends them.

Arab apartheid: Jordan begins stripping state's Palestinians of citizenship

You think UN's Arab-led Human Rights Council is going to protest this gross human rights violation? And if it does, you think Jordan would care?

Just imagine if Israel would make such a move. It would be immediately labeled as racist, apartheid and even a Nazi state state.

But Arabs? No, they are neither racist nor apartheid. They are like brothers to each other. Can't you tell?

(JPost) Jordanian authorities have started revoking the citizenship of thousands of Palestinians living in Jordan to avoid a situation in which they would be "resettled" permanently in the kingdom, Jordanian and Palestinian officials revealed on Monday.

The new measure has increased tensions between Jordanians and Palestinians, who make up around 70 percent of the kingdom's population.

The tensions reached their peak over the weekend when tens of thousands of fans of Jordan's Al-Faisali soccer team chanted slogans condemning Palestinians as traitors and collaborators with Israel. Al-Faisali was playing the rival Wihdat soccer team, made up of Jordanian-Palestinians, in the Jordanian town of Zarqa.

Anti-riot policemen had to interfere to stop the Jordanian fans from lynching the Wihdat team members and their fans, eyewitnesses reported. They said the Jordanian fans of Al-Faisali hurled empty bottles and fireworks at the Palestinian players and their supporters.

Reports in a number of Jordanian newspapers said that the Jordanian fans also chanted anti-Palestinian slogans and cursed Palestine, the PLO, Jerusalem and the Aksa Mosque.

Arabs cursing Al Aqsa mosque? So it's not holy for them after all, huh?

Here's where it gets interesting:

Several Jordanian government officials, they said, are convinced that Netanyahu and Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman are secretly working toward turning Jordan into a Palestinian state.

Working how? On their own?

As a preemptive measure, the Jordanian authorities recently began revoking the citizenship of thousands of Palestinians, leaving many of them in a state of panic and uncertainty regarding the future.

The Jordanians have justified the latest measure by arguing that it's aimed at avoiding a situation in which the Palestinians would ever be prevented from returning to their original homes inside Israel.

Since 1988, when the late King Hussein cut off his country's administrative and legal ties with the West Bank, the Jordanian authorities have been working toward "disengaging" from the Palestinians under the pretext of preserving their national identity.

Simply put, they just want to get rid of their brothers. And why is it perfectly OK for Arabs to "disengage" from other Arabs (Palestinians) who are citizens of an Arab country, but for Israel to keep the same Arabs out of its borders is a "crime against humanity"?

"Our goal is to prevent Israel from emptying the Palestinian territories of their original inhabitants," the minister explained, confirming that the kingdom had begun revoking the citizenship of Palestinians.

Historically speaking, the original inhabitants were the Jews. The Arab interlopers introduced themselves to the the land some 2,500 years later.

Best part:

"We should be thanked for taking this measure," he said. "We are fulfilling our national duty because Israel wants to expel the Palestinians from their homeland."

Now, this is rich: we're expelling our brothers from our country to prevent Israel from expelling them. Arab logic.

The British (INTER) National Health Service

(UK) Gary Reinbach, 22, an alcoholic, died today after doctors on the NHS refused to give him a new kidney until they had proof that he had finally given up the bottle.

Yesterday it was revealed that the NHS must act now to prepare for an expected funding shortfall after 2011.

Also yesterday it was proposed that British NHS Patients should be charged £20 to see a GP in a bid to limit demands placed on the health service.

Those stories and many more have become common place in the UK where British citizens are billed directly by the taxman in which to provide a free for all health service for British people. A service which is increasingly being denied to them.

Today, somewhat surreptitiously, the Government signed a piece of paper which allows failed asylum seekers to receive free medical treatment in England, following the trend set by Scotland and Wales.

It appears that this f-ing socialist government just cannot find enough good causes in which to spend the tax-payers money. In fact, only yesterday it was announced that they have handed over £100 million to Africa and Asia to allow them to research GM food. Whatever next?

(Gaza) In the brilliant film 'Get Shorty', John Travolta plays the part of Chilly Palmer, a Shylock/thug who walks out on the mob and decamps to Hollywood in which to make a film. While in Hollywood, he finds the place even more convoluted and crooked than crime riven Florida he left behind.

Emad Akel was a right nasty piece of work as a follower of the religion of peace with a personal total of 16 murders to his credit in 1993, he decided to fight the law, and the law won.

Anyway, in a typical ROP fashion, Hamas have decided to make a film about him. It appears that Hamas has big plans for 'Pallywood', with a vision of turning it into a $200 million media city. Well, good luck to them is all I can say. Mind you, they are going to have a small problem with showing off those so called products of the future 'Pallywood', as Hamas decreed that cinemas/picture houses/theaters are not compatible with Islamic values, and so closed them all down.

Which is exactly the stance Saudi Arabia has taken with cinemas. In fact, a brave attempt in which to introduce the populace to the joys of sitting in a theater, without some arsehole trying to inform you he's the one, has fallen by the wayside as the religious police have decreed that going to the cinema is a sin.

A Dome of Iron

A good few years ago I bought a popcorn for the brain sci-fi book from the PX at Rhein Main Airbase about how America lost its technological edge to the Japanese, and overnight the Japs were the new superpower of the day. Instead of bullets they used lasers, and nothing the world had could defeat the Japanese. Well, in good old A-Team and McGiver fashion the Yanks plated all their obsolete Apaches with a mirror finish and knocked up a hyposonic gun, and the rest was history. Or should that be future history?

Anyway, a kind of similar thought prevails about short range missile defence. A lot of the world presumes that amplified light is the way to go. However, those pesky Jews have decided that for now they are going to stick to metal on metal action and use something that is in the here and now.

On July 15th 2009, Israel successfully tested its Iron Dome anti missile system against several rockets which mimicked the short-range Grad-model Katyusha rockets favoured by the likes of Hezb-allah and increasingly of late finding its way into the armoury of those liberal-sponsored pacifists ‘Hamas’.

This successful test of the Iron Dome system means that the project is actually well ahead of its original reported operational date of 2012 (which was then moved to 2010), with the IDF now looking at its initial active deployment on the Gaza border sometime in the final quarter of 2009.

In a nutshell, Iron Dome uses 2 radars in which to target the incoming missile and quickly discerns if its trajectory is on line for a populated area. If it is, an anti missile is launched to destroy; and if it isn’t, it is left alone.

While the system is designed to be effective against the BM21 grad rockets, its use against the home made Kassams (a lot smaller) is questionable. However, with reports that Hezb-allah has over 40,000 of Iranian- and Chinese-made BM21 and that Hamas has taken on significant quantities of the rockets, it is very clear that Israel sees the BM21 and its ilk as the bigger threat.

I wonder how long it is before a number of so called peace outfits are accusing the Israelis of upping the ante by deploying a missile defensive screen. I mean, how dare the Jews defend themselves?

Palestinian Islamist Movement unintentionally admits to existence of the Jewish Temple

Muslims have always been claiming that Western Wall was never a part of the Temple and that the Temple itself never existed (regardless of all the historical and archeological evidence), which is their normal modus operandi when they conquer and build over someone else's property or holy places.

(Afghanistan) A British RAF Tornado jet crashed today while trying to take off at Kandahar airfield.

While the authorities say the incident wasn't terrorist related, it is the second airframe in a few days to have failed take-off at Kandahar and the third serious flying incident in under a week. All of which, the powers to be inform me, have been accidents.

The question I have to ask is: have they been accidents or have the terrorists managed to grab hold of a number of surface to air missiles (SAMs)? If so, I wonder just which country has been furnishing the terrorists with weapons?

It appears I was a little out in the number of aircraft which have fallen out of the sky these past few days in Afghanistan. It now transpires that the USAF lost an F 15E eagle 3 days ago.

Somalia: French agents to face Sharia law trial

Two French security advisers were abducted by Allah's little helpers from al-Shabab on charges of spying and "conspiracy against Islam" (i.e.: working for the government), and will face a kangaroo trial, most likely followed by the execution.

NAIROBI, Kenya (AP) - Two French security advisers being held hostage in Somalia will soon be tried under Islamic law for alleged spying and "conspiracy against Islam," a senior member of a rebel group holding the men said Saturday.

The official with the insurgent group al-Shabab said no date had been set for the trial. He asked that his name not be published because he is not authorized to speak to the media on the matter.

Russian flag set on fire in Tehran

The Iranian people are not happy with Russia's support of the mullahs.

The author of the video writes that "Russia has been the biggest supporter of the mullahs and it is widely believed that two top Russian officials have helped the revolutionary guards to set up the coup for Ahmadinejad."

He also says that during Friday prayers, preachers "ask the people to shout death to America and the usual brainwashed pigs who attend love their death to America bs."

But this past Friday, because Mousavi went to the prayers, "hundreds of thousands of normal Iranians who never go went as well, and when they asked for death to America everybody screamed death to Russia and China to piss off the officials until they stopped asking."

German Islamists heading to Pakistan training camps

Monsters and Ctitics reports on the increasing flow of homegrown jihadists from Turkish and Arab immigrant communities to training camps in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Berlin - The flow of radical Islamists from Germany to training camps in Pakistan has doubled this year, the newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung reported Sunday without naming any source.

German police monitor the so-called homegrown terrorists, mainly from the Turkish and Arab immigrant communities, who volunteer to fight on the Islamist side in Pakistan or Afghanistan.

'This year we have so far logged 40 Pakistan-bound departures among the German Islamist crowd,' a senior German security official was quoted saying. In the corresponding months of last year, only half as many departed for training.

The men commonly used flights via Syria, Egypt or Turkey. Many returned home to Germany after spending time in the camps.

German security forces suspect they might try pull what their brethren have pulled in Spain in 2003:

Bangladesh: Reporter faces death for pro-Israel view

This automatically brings to mind Obama's (in)famous claim made in his Cairo speech that "throughout history, Islam has demonstrated through words and deeds the possibilities of religious tolerance and racial equality."

(JPost) Since 2003, Bangladeshi journalist and peace activist Salah Uddin Shoaib Choudhury has been investigated by Bangladeshi authorities on charges of sedition, treason and insulting religious belief.

Choudhury, 44, has spent years opposing Muslim extremism through his writings, especially the Weekly Blitz which he started in 2003. He has called for interfaith dialogue and for normalizing relations between Muslim countries and Israel.

On Wednesday, Choudhury returns to court. He is accused of insulting Islam and harming the state's reputation abroad, charges which, when couched as "sedition," carry a possible death penalty.

"According to my lawyers in Bangladesh, the government is determined to conclude the trial as soon as possible," he wrote in a public letter over the weekend. "No one knows what will be the verdict. But, of course, seeing the past track record, we cannot hold any hope for a good [result] because the court is not applying its judicial mind, but trying to appease the Islamists."

Work accident in Gaza

Actually, it's a tunnel accident, but this doesn't make it any less important.

(Ynet) Palestinian sources reported Sunday that one man was killed in an explosion in a fuel smuggling tunnel in southern Gaza Strip.

The report stated that several other people were hurt as well.
